Crossover artist: singer, actor, musician.

Taïs Szilagi is a New York City–based crossover performer working as a singer, actor, and musician. With a background spanning opera, musical theatre, new music, and experimental performance, she brings a distinctly versatile approach to the stage, moving between classical vocal repertoire, contemporary works, and character-driven performance.
An enthusiastic collaborator with living composers, Szilagi has performed in more than 50 new works and premieres. Her performance as Aldonza in Man of La Mancha at the Astoria Performing Arts Center was praised by BOAST NYC as “fiery and wounded,” while Norman Lebrecht of Slippedisc praised the pop single “Flowers Falling” as a “cooler aria.”
Her work spans stage and screen, with credits in theater, opera, film, and television. She is also an accomplished flutist and incorporates instrumental performance and live looping into her musical practice.
Szilagi holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music.
